long bio
At 13 years old Warre came in contact with HipHop, rap and poetry. His first song was written about the bullies in school. The first song that gained traction was “Early“, written at 15 years old under the name “Winston“. After Early he was invited to perform for 300 people in TRAX, Roeselare, his hometown. From 19 years old he started producing and studying in Ghent, Belgium.
After a lot of experimentation in Ghent, he wanted to take things more seriously. Wurriversal got founded at 21 years old.
“We made a studio in the garden shed of my parents together with my friends. Some still call it the most legendary studio they’ve ever been at. Here we started taking our production, artist management and marketing very seriously.”
After 2 years in the legendary shed and guiding dozens of artists through his workshop #HACKdeTRACK, Warre moved back to Ghent for a creative environment that inspired him. For 2 years he went deep into producing, playing instruments and songwriting on his own. His dad tried to convince him since birth to play guitar but Arezki finally convinced Warre to start playing guitar. Since February 2024 he’s been making original songs on his dads old guitar.
In 2024 Warre moved back to Roeselare to reconnect with family, friends and to organise events. After a couple of sold out events like RSL Jam, RSL Jazz, Volta, Showdown, … Warre & TJ WEST founded #AFROTON. While focusing on his personal (acoustic) career in music, Warre DJ’s for fun and produces trap, amapiano, afrobeat, pop, reggaeton, … for artists like Chris Lobanzo, Andy Roques, Manzo, Migi Sosa & many many more.
